This place was terrible most of the staff that worked every great but many of them were just didn’t care I got there from Queen of the valley it was hot in that room the air do not work they did not fix it as I pleaded it to get it fixed they told me it would be but then the engineer or whoever maintenance whatever said they couldn’t come in till the next day if it was at 2 days in a row and my TV which is necessary in a facility like that didn’t work did not have a remote they gave me one but it did not work I was miserable the care there was not that great . I would request my pain medicine for several other ones that I really needed to take on a daily basis they didn’t come and and I repeat myself. So I called my good friend and have him pick me up I was there just 2 days going against their will but the treatment was so bad and it was so miserable in there and nobody helped or even gave a shit. 1 physical therapist was great she loaned me her neck fan and but I was gone I did not take the fan. Terrible place. One morning a doctor came in to see me I don’t know who it was and he had my information all wrong thought I was married and etcetera etcetera and when the other doctor came in I was supposed to see did not even know this doctor I don’t know this doctor’s name and neither did the staff it is very strange to me and scary they should be notified about who comes in and out of there and tell the patient it was not right there was something weird about it. One more thing my food was terrible did not get a choice of what to eat or not certain medicines I was supposed to take as I eat . Some of the food was unidentifiable. A good tasting meal does help a patient get better a TV also to kill the time to be comfortable with the climate that they are in that room it was awful.
My dad stayed here for almost a month and received the absolute best care after a vertebroplasty and some cognition issues preventing him from recovery at home. Every staff member was kind, my dad was well groomed, well dressed, and was attended to for all his needs. After 3 months of going back and forth with Kaiser and unmanaged pain, and then a week in the hospital where I felt I was literally fighting for his life, constant advocating, pushing the doctor to think outside the box, witnessing nurses mess up on his medications, I questioned if I had just become overly critical of all medical staff and overly protective of my dad, but the second he was admitted to napa valley care center, I felt I could exhale. He was in good hands and it was obvious. Even the CNAs and nurses who weren’t his direct caregivers stopped to chit chat with him and I felt he was truly cared for all around. The rehab team was great and spent intentional time with him every day, talking to him and actively working with him, not just telling him what to do and then having their own side conversations or staring at phone while in session, which is what I saw when touring other facilities from the east bay to napa. The place was clean and we were so happy with my dad’s experience at napa valley care center. Shoutout to Bernice, my dads favorite staff member there who seemingly attended to him as if he were her own family. Thank you NVCC! We couldn’t have had a better experience. 5 stars.
My friend Chuck was there for about 3 months and received very good care. There are 6 employees that went beyond their duties to make sure he was taken care of. Debra,Carmel, Iris,Diane, Emily, Stephanie.. all of you have my sincere appreciation .You proved that there are still good people in this world.. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.. the only thing that Chuck had a problem with was the quality of the food… He lost 30 pounds but is getting it back…I would recommend this care center to anyone…
At Napa Valley Care Center the entire team truly stood out. From the head of social services to the head of nursing, to the nurses and even the front desk staff, everyone treated us with kindness, respect, and genuine care as we navigated my father’s rehabilitation from a stroke. It was clear that they see each patient as a person first, not just a case, and that made all the difference for our family. The level of specialized attention and the quality of skilled nursing care were exceptional. During a time filled with stress and uncertainty, their professionalism and empathy gave us comfort and confidence that my father was in good hands. I am deeply grateful for everything they did for us and would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking compassionate, high-quality care for a loved one.
This facility is like a family, employees are friendly and kind.
